Welcome to our 15th Field Day Adventure! Frozen Prepper Days is a multi-faceted winter event designed to test your cold-weather preparedness and build real-world survival skills. Whether you are a seasoned expert or completely new to prepping, come join us for hands-on learning, community, and fun.

⛺ How to Participate

🌲 Full Winter Camping Experience

If you are brave enough to camp with us and test your winter survival limits, you are invited to arrive and join us during setup Friday morning, or anytime before nightfall on Friday and Saturday. 

🚗 Day Visitors Welcome

Can't stay overnight? No problem! Come visit us anytime on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to participate in our scheduled training blocks, demonstrations, and community events. 

🛠️ What to Expect

📻 Amateur Radio (Ham Radio) & Worldwide Communications

When disasters strike and grid power fails, civilian amateur radio operators provide an invaluable lifeline. We align our event with the national Winter Field Day Association (WFDA), highlighting the importance of winter environment communication. 

Unlike serious competitors, NNPG participates strictly for education and fun. No license is required to try it out! We will have multiple HAM radios running, and we will help you make actual radio contacts with people across the country. 

🛡️ Emergency Preparedness & Survival Training

NNPG is dedicated to providing families with the skills needed to survive man-made or natural disasters. Throughout the weekend, we will host live demonstrations, expert presentations, and hands-on workshops.

Friday, January 22, 2027

• All Day: Basecamp setup and winter campsite deployment (until nightfall). 

• All Day: Ham Radio Operations & Q&A. Try out HF & VHF radio equipment. 

• 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Off-Grid Power Systems – Solar and wind components, sizing requirements, and hands-on system setup. 

• All Day: Open Prepper Q&A sessions. 

Saturday, January 23, 2027

• All Day: Campsite setup (for newly arriving campers, until nightfall). 

• All Day: Ham Radio Operations & Q&A. Try out HF & VHF radio equipment. 

• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Water in an Emergency – Hydration requirements, safe purification, filtration, and bulk storage. 

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Emergency Food & Nutrition – A deep dive into freeze-dried food options and home canning techniques. 

• 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Emergency Medicine & First Aid – Crucial survival medical tips hosted by a retired Fire Captain and EMT. 

• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Drones in an Emergency – Practical uses, search-and-rescue features, and live flight demonstrations. 

• 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Prepping Gear Mastery – Showcasing new gear, proper storage methods, winter maintenance, and usage. 

• All Day: Open Prepper Q&A sessions. 

Sunday, January 24, 2027

• All Day: Ham Radio Operations & Q&A. Try out HF & VHF radio equipment. 

• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Survival Fire Building – How to construct a Dakota Fire Pit and other tactical campfires for stealth, heat, and efficiency. 

• 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Barter & Swap Meet – Bring your extra gear, supplies, or tools and trade with others for items you want or need! 

• All Day: Open Prepper Q&A sessions.
