I do watch the news/internet reporting of trending events, mostly as they relate to prepping.
To that end, there has been a report of a pending "near-earth" asteroid pass. This has been
hyped on some of the major news outlets and the social media (SM) have exacerbated the
event into something far beyond reality.
Relax. This is the truth of the matter:
http://phys.org/news/2015-03-giant-asteroid-isnt-skim-earth.html My take on this is that the media outlets are more than willing to ride the prepper mind-set
for as much of a boost in readership as it will give them. This is "yellow journalism" in it's
plainest form.
No, you shouldn't stop reading/watching the news for reports on possible trigger events, but
at the same time, be skeptical of over-hyped reports until you can do further and deeper
research. You owe it to your blood pressure to be skeptical first.
