Judy has been busy freeze drying eggs. Ourselves, then Christmas gifts to the kids. Dogs get some scrambled eggs also.

Question #1. I think my neighbors are an asset, in a round about way. I mentioned before how sand mountain has a bit of a reputation. "If you don't have business on the mountain, stay off the mountain." The people that live here are here because they don't want to be near society. So we all know and recognize each other. You know, the guy with the blue Jeep. Or the people with the trailer in Murphy's hollow. The dude with the school bus.. But we're not sociable, we're armed and shoot on our respective properties regularly, and the town is slightly afraid of us.

My neighbors, at the moment, are all problems. As far as I can tell, they are all clueless in terms of prepping. And many of them have made it clear that they are barely surviving now, because of other people, and everything except themselves, and are looking for everything that the government and other people 'owe' them.

Now, my friends are major assets to me. They have all proven themselves to be more than willing to help me out in whatever way I need.

Question #2 answer: I tend to try to give clear and concise answers to their questions based on proven facts and leaving out too much speculation, and encourage them to not get discouraged. It does not take huge amounts of money, it does take a bit of time since it cannot all be done at once.

New pepper advice. One thing at a time. Focus on water, focus on food, focus on shelter and heat, but if you try to do it all at once it won't go well.

Your are very correct Idaho. Though I am in Winnemucca NV now, close to my brother, he can only help so much. My circle of prepper friends in and around Reno have been my primary support system when it comes to prepping. Being here makes it tough. And I have a fairly widespread group of prepper internet friends that I can depend on if I am travelling. Unfortunately, several have died in recent years. They were some of my go to help for many subjects.
