Conflicted Card Game - July 14

Conflicted Card Game - July 14
« on: June 05, 2015, 05:18:57 PM »
A survival card game designed for preppers and survivalists and those wanting to introduce others to emergency preparedness, Conflicted: The Survival Card Game will give you hours of meaningful discussion while entertaining you and your friends and family.

You will be asked to come up for answers to several realistic scenarios which will pull you completely out of your comfort zone, make you think about life without the modern comforts you currently enjoy, and reveal to yourself what kind of person you really are when faced with situations that will either end your life or destroy your moral compass.

Please check out the website - www.conflictedthegame.com for more information

Older, mature children are welcome. Some scenarios can tread into some darker and difficult conversations. Parents, please use your discretion on whether this would be appropriate for your child.

The game is based on the idea that society has collapsed and we are living in survival situations. Each card will present a specific scenario. We only have the information given on that card and answers should be given based on the scenario of the card that has been drawn. The goal is to explore how far you will go in order to survive.

Each person is given 2 minutes to answer. There are no right or wrong answers.

Please, no interruptions. Allow each person to finish their answer. You may pass at any time on any card. Please stay on topic to the scenario of the card that has been drawn.

If a particular card is triggering further discussion, we can set that card aside and have open discussion at the end of the evening.

This has been a fabulous game night. The answers and discussions have all been very thought provoking. I've learned more about myself in this process and been presented with scenarios that I have never thought possible which has then made me re-think my perspective and adjust in my own life. I have also been very impressed by the answers some of the teens that have attended have given. We have many very mature teenagers in this group! The end goal to this evening is to build camaraderie, thoughtful discussion and building the strength of the group and relationships.

Where: Roundtable Pizza at 5150 Mae Ann, Reno, NV 89523.
When: The back room is open at 5:00pm so we can grab some grub before starting.  The game starts at 6:00pm and wraps up at 8:00pm.

Tuesday night is All You Can Eat Pizza and Salad Bar Buffet. We will be meeting in the banquet room.  You do not need to purchase anything to attend.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Aw, man! It just will not be the same without you.

But we will gird our loins and carry on despite your absence.

Hi Everyone!

I laid down earlier today with a headache and woke up too late to come to the meeting, but I hope that it was fun! I really liked last month's game and was looking forward to today's.   8)

It was a great night. Since there were only a handful of us, we did more a roundtable (sic) discussion on the scenarios rather than the timed responses and move on. It worked well for just the few of us that were able to make it.

Just my opinion.

Looks like that Round Table was robbed yesterday. Were you all there when it happened?

On my!  That is crazy.  I had not heard of that until you mentioned it, so I goggled it.  It happened just before 11:00pm, so we were long gone by then.  We've always liked the Mae Anne Roundtable over the one on 4th Street for many reasons, one because it is in a safer neighborhood.  Or so we thought!  There goes that perception bias!

I agree with Jerry, if this had happened while we were there and we didn't notice it, then maybe we need to do more training on our situational awareness!

It was another great night of cards.  We did have a smaller group than usual so we followed an open conversation format which worked out well.  We spent a little more time fleshing out different what ifs for certain cards.  As always, some good laughs and humor to help cut the heavy nature of the conversation.  Thank you to everyone!  You guys rock!!!

I agree Glenda. It was a great night, if a bit different from normal Conflicted Card Game Night. Good choice you made doing it that way and going with Deck One. It was great being able to ramble along and get a bit of prep preaching in, too.

Just my opinion.
