If I might add a couple more:

1) Not storing enough calories in general.
2) Not storing enough protein for daily needs under harsh conditions
3) Not storing enough quality fats
4)Using buckets/Mylar/oxygen absorbers for long term storing of food (a few years, tops. Not 25)
5) Not storing the right balance of calories, balance of nutrients, balance of micro-nutrients, and depending rice/beans as a major part of the diet
6) Not storing enough variety to avoid appetite fatigue, especially in children
7) Not storing enough comfort foods
8) Depending on storage food to get one through until the food production and distribution infrastructure comes back
9) Not planning to start a long term, sustainable, nutritious, tasty food supply if food production and distribution infrastructure does not return
10) Not distributing their food supply in several places to avoid loss or damage by a single or group of events
11) Not considering how the storage foods will be prepared, consumed, and left-overs dealt with
12) Not considering special dietary needs (babies/infants/toddlers, the ill, pregnant women, those with a high metabolism, increased requirements for changed physical work levels
13) Wild, salvaged, and foraged food gathering, storage, and preparation
14) Food sanitation and waste disposal

I guess there were more than a couple.

Just my opinion.
