If you want to use some of the seeds from your crop they need to be open pollinated. Not all heirloom seeds/plants are OP, and lots of organic seeds aren't OP. If saving seeds doesn't matter then just grow what you like to eat :) This year I'm trying all heirloom/OP veggies except for one kind of squash my wife really wants. I'll find out next year if the seed saving works.
