Yup on precision flying
There is/was a military helicopter precision flying contest. All tasks were tasks a military helicopter pilot is expected to master.
Imagine hovering over a 5 gallon bucket of water, hooking up to it, flying a defined course around obstacles and the having to place it on the ground on a target. The more precise the placement on the target, the higher number of points, the closer the bucket was to pre-pickup weight (including water) the higher the number of points.
IIRC 1986 the US Army team won. 2nd place was 2nd place by only 5 points, 3rd by 7 more.
