This subject; "How much is really in commercial food packages", has been discussed before.  The author makes a good case for NOT BELIEVING the labels on many (most) of these packages.

After you have read this, you can check your own packages.  If you are not yet buying bulk packages labeled for "prepper" consumption, then you can go to one of your local groceries which stock these and check the labels before buying.

I will advise some strong caution when you consider packages which are being advertised as "One Year Food Supply" because you may find that the actual daily menu is closer to a starvation diet than what you will really need in a crisis situation.

I hope you haven't already been disappointed...

We don't buy these buckets of food.  We buy medium bulk packages of basic foods, such as flour, rice, beans etc. and repackage these as necessary.  Yes, we could get better unit pricing by buying in large sizes, but this fits our budget.  YMMV
