Storage Lifetime Claims and Types of Food Storage Containers

I'm sure we have all read the ads for "prepper" food contains with lifetimes well over 10 years (20-30???)

Just how realistic are these claims?

Who did the testing?

Where are the published test results?

These are questions which should be on your mind when you plan on buying long term food stocks...

Based on retained lot samples that were actually tested, Mountain House now guarantees their (except one dary based) to last 30 years and this retroactively to 1986 production.
Even their pouch are of very superior construction. From my limited experience, I believe it.
