Let me state a disclaimer:  I DO NOT like Asparagus

It should be classified as a biological weapon, to be issued only to those licensed to wield it.

That being said, it can be calories (food value) and proper preparation (pun intended) is necessary in the method used to create your weapons canned Asparagus.

This article gives a very good training exercise recipe for harvesting and storing this dangerous barely edible vegetable.
