My recipe:

Meat Pasty or Sloppy Joe in Dough

1 lb hamburger
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 onion, chopped to 1/4 inch

Dough

2 cups flour, white or whole wheat
1/4 Lb butter or margarine
1 tbls Baking Powder
1/4 tbls Salt
1/2 cup milk (or water0

In a frying pan, cook the hamburger until the grease is rendered.

Add the chopped onion and cook until onion is transparent, stir frequently.

Add ketchup and BBQ sauce to hamburger and onion and reduce the heat.

simmer until the mix is thick enough spoon up in a mound.

Turn off heat.

In a single bowl, mix flour and butter (margarine) until it is absorbed by the flour.

Add half of the milk (water) and start mixing.

If it remains too dry, add milk (water) in small amounts until a thick batter is formed.

On a well floured surface, place 1/4 cup of the batter (size of tennis ball).

knead the batter in the flour until you can form a dough ball that does not stick to your fingers.

Roll the dough into a 6 inch diameter circle, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.

Place about 2-3 tablespoons of the hamburger mix in the center of the dough and fold over.

Roll the rim of the dough together to make a good seal.

Place this meat pasty on an ungreased baking sheet.

Repeat until you run out of dough or filling.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 Fahrenheit.

Remove from oven and let cool slightly.

Serve immediately or allow to cool and freeze in plastic bag.

You may sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

Makes approximately eight meat pasties.

[edit] forgot to add Baking Powder and Salt to the dough... Oh and spelink err too.
