I'm sure we all know about the advice to "store a years worth of food"... Per person? Why?
Sure, it would be comforting to think that you'll not need to think about more food for a year... NOT!
How likely is it that you will face a situation where you have NO other food sources to replenish your stores as you use them? Face it, that scenario is very dark and unlikely to be survivable. Make other plans.
