Ammo shortage and availability

Ammo shortage and availability
« on: September 06, 2021, 11:08:14 PM »
Haven't seen any ammo in 2 Walmarts in months, but apparently, it's different where my brother lives. He lives about 60 miles north of Tampa. The Walmart there does have ammo. Checked Sportsman Warehouse a few weeks ago....nothing and haven't been to Cabela's in a few months simply because they didn't have squat. Anyone been checking around for ammo?

I normally just order from Midway and there is more .22 LR around at the moment but I have not seen any .22 WMR for at least a month.
I ordered this for just in case https://22lrreloader.com/products/22mag-22-win-22-wrf-reloader-kit

What I ordered will allow me to reload .22LR .22 WMR the caps I use for my black powder gear and if i don't see any more primers for sale ill be able to reload them as well. All of which have been very hard to find recently.

Last month I ordered from https://www.ammoman.com/

I have used him for over a decade.  At least before California banned mail order ammo.

He is showing .22 LR and .22 WMR in stock.  Also check back frequently as he gets more shipments in.

WOW Ammoman is cool it seems to have some stuff available not .22WMR at the time I looked but I like the way whats available is easily searchable. I did balk at 100 dollars for a 500 round brick of Rem Thunderbolt which not long ago I was paying 10 - 15 but hey if thats what it costs at the moment cool it is probably collectible anyway.

Hit the Lemmon Valley Walmart yesterday and out of habit, hit the outdoor section. They did have some ammo, though very little. It was also the first time I've seen them actually have ammo. But what shocked me was their price for 300 rounds of .22 LR.....how about $40?!
Don't remember the brand name other than it being one I've bought before, but in different packaging. And it wasn't match grade or even hollow point stuff. But 33 cents a round?!
