Good idea for SHTF pain management when Oxycodone is in extremely short supply. PainPack™ Protocol This Protocol uses a Ibuprofen (Motrin and Advil) and Acetaminophen (Tylenol) while reserving low dose Oxycodone as needed.
Maximizes non-opioid medication, at prescription doses, and allows for the opioid to be an option rather than an obligation.
To best control your pain, take Tylenol 1000 mg and Ibuprofen 800 mg every 6-8 hours three times each day.
Make sure to wait 1-2 hours between the Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
The Oxycodone 5 mg, 1/2 pill increments, is to be used only for pain that is not relieved by the Tylenol and Ibuprofen.
Take Tylenol and ibuprofen every 6 to 8 hrs with 1 to 2 hours between them.
Day 1- Tylenol (two 500 mg pills), wait 1 to 2 hours, ibuprofen (one 800 mg pill), wait 1 to 2 hours, Tylenol (two 500 mg pills), wait 1 to 2 hours, ibuprofen (one 800 mg pill).
Take medication with food and plenty of liquids.
Day 2 to 5- Tylenol (two 500 mg pills), wait 1 to 2 hours, ibuprofen (one 800 mg pill), wait 1 to 2 hours, Tylenol (two 500 mg pills), wait 1 to 2 hours, ibuprofen (one 800 mg pill).
Take 3 doses per day 3 doses per day every 6 to 8 hours with foods.
If you need more pain, take Oxycodone 5 mg, 1/2 to 2 pills (in ½ pill increments) over 4 to 6 hours.
Pain Pack without Oxycodone
Add 130 mg of caffeine, once it’s clear that the Tylenol (Acetaminophen) and ibuprofen aren’t quite enough. Caffeine amplifies the effect of the Acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Take one 100 mg tablet of caffeine and then cut an additional tablet adding a quarter tablet of caffeine every 20 minutes (if needed) until victim doesn’t experience any additional analgesia.
NOTE: One 8 oz cup of coffee typically contains up to 150 mg of caffeine.
NOTE: Never add alcohol to these combinations of over-the-counter medications as it creates more problems than it solves.
