I would add:

1) Thin your fruit tree fruit at the appropriate time. And be brutal about it. Your fruit trees will last longer with less damage, the trees will make better use of the soil nutrients and water, and you will have larger, better fruit, with over-all production the same if not higher than if un-thinned.

2) Have available shade cloth and misters, with easy ways to install them, to protect plants in long sun exposure, high temperature, low humidity conditions.

3) Have available cold weather protection means, with easy ways to install them, for each type of plant you grow for cold weather, situations.

4) Have and use early seed/plant starting methods and equipment

5) Consider using a greenhouse with an aquaponics vertical growing system to increase production year round

6) Protect you plants/garden from predators, large and small, including humans

Just a few off the top of my head.
