Weed Control without pesticides.

If it's growing in your garden and you didn't plant it there, technically it's a weed.

However.  Some plants are so useful that I might just let them grown in my garden.

This article lists some easy ways to kill weeds, using things you have in your home.

http://www.offthegridnews.com/survival-gardening-2/5-all-natural-weed-killers-straight-from-your-kitchen-no-2-will-kill-anything/

NOTE: the Dandelion in the first picture is an example of a USEFUL plant and one worth keeping in your garden.
Reference my earlier post about the possible anti[-cancer properties of Dandelion root extract:

If you want to get rid of lawn weeds, it is a different situation.

NOTE 2: using salt to kill a plant will also be bad for just about every other plant in the immediate area.
And it assumes you have salt to spare for this.  I would not use salt unless I was collecting it from some nearby ocean or salty body of water and I would NEVER use it in my garden.

The same caveat is true for Vinegar and Lemon juice.  They are better used as food items, unless you are growning your own...

Know your weeds, and learn their uses.
