Ember defense is something that I never thought about so I'm really happy to learn more about that.

Metal roofing is a good defense for embers.
So is stucco siding

We're in a three story apartment, with lots of trees within the complex. The only option I see, assuming we're allowed to stay and not evacuate, is to be ready to spray the trees and roof.

Rain gutteres are something to think about with embers too. They tend to go overlooked with spring cleaning.

Good point Josh. We have gutters and I've Never seen them get cleaned. Our maintenance crew is not even allowed to stand on the roof itself. I assume (don't know for sure) that a commercial drew could be called to do the cleaning. we certainly have lots of deciduous trees which drop leaves every fall. This needs to be asked our our manager/owners.

Josh, which login are you using? There are two, one in the top right corner and one in the main menu. I get different results using the top one, so I now only use the main menu login [Login]

Same with my appartments, i never have seen them cleaned. I only know to look because my job. I have to look at all kinds of things to make sure my peeps are safe.

yes, that's a known bug on the forum software. Only use the login link in the main menu, not the one in upper right corner.
