Wheres larry in churchill? Fallon? Hopefully!
Hi ken
Josh
Clover is a great cover crop. Fixes nitrogen like a champ!
Fallon is very sandy soil with clay underneath, so i used peat moss and steer manuer to amend it.

Just checking, is this making it to the chat room?
8:16:32 PM
Being an apartment dweller, my garden is limited to my window sills. That means I rotate crops. I've got some sweet potato, basil and ginger (still need about five weeks).

Im in an apt too now, so no garden here. Where i work i have planted a small garden because its a nice stress relief for me. Lol
8:19:04 PM
Josh, I do mostly spice in the window sill. I get enough for a meal a day.

Josh K7ZIM
Nice! I work in a house so there are some olanter spaces between the sidewalks so i planted there. Rosemarry, oragino and lavender in the back and this year i planted cukes, cabbage, jalapenos and carrots. My peeps like them.
8:21:41 PM
Another thing which works in window garden is onion from seed.
8:22:32 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Ohhh nice!
8:23:24 PM
Also I did some sweet peppers from seed, I got two, count 'em, twp peppers. Good quality, but low quantity...
I had to hand pollinate the peppers with a small paint brush
8:25:25 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Lol! I've had to do that to squash before. I always laughed when i did.
I would love a freeze dryer! So expensive tho!
8:32:32 PM
I wish I had a garden big enough to feed a freeze dryer.

I've seen on a few groups on fb, they do meatloaf, chicken alfrado, all kinds of meal type things.
