I'm building a new pantry. Starting from scratch. I have some research to do and am finally ready to start learning about rotation, cooking, canning, expiration dates and proper storage methods. I did not have a proper storage area in the past as I have been doing a remodel on the house. Everything was in turmoil but now I'm lucky to have a good, large area for this project.

I may need to borrow that space this year to completely unpack the bags and shake everything out. My space is somewhat limited. I know there are some things that have settled to the bottom of the bag that really should see the light of day to make sure everything is ready to go. I could use a large area to do that task.
I also think I'm going to do another bag or two so I have some extra gear ready to go for stashing when I'm in Southern Calif.

Something extra I do is I take all smoke detectors down and blow them out with air. I live in a dusty area and It prevents false alarms. That always happens at 2 in the morning for some reason!
