Trailer and Boat Pod

Disclaimer, I've not tried this product, but it would seem to be a good prepper option.

It is an enclose trailer, with good carry capacity which opens into a serviceable boat for lake and (slow) river travel.

The price is (IMO) not unreasonable for what you get.

It might be possible to build something like this, if you have the tools and skill available, but the final cost might be about the same as this commercial version.

Interesting concept, it would be handy of one or two persons.

I liked the idea in one of Jerry's stories where the trailer turned into a boat that you could then ferry you vehicle across a river.
Since I would have to cross the Mississippi that would work for me a lot better.

I like that too, but it's a fairly large boat, not what I linked in my OP, which is a two person size boat.

Perhaps a pair of pontoons which could also be used to store supplies?

Or an amphibious car/truck (pricey)?
