Title: Diatomaceous Earth (DE) as a dietary supplement and treatment
Post by: TWP on September 25, 2016, 12:41:00 PM
Good read on why DE is good for you, and for your animals

Good information on dosages and reasons for using DE as a treatment regimen.

http://www.offgridquest.com/health-nutrition/food-grade-diatomaceous-earth (http://www.offgridquest.com/health-nutrition/food-grade-diatomaceous-earth)

Available in most garden stores ("non-foodgrade") and many nutrition stores.

DO read the reasons for the "food grade" classification.  My opinion is that this is somewhat arbitrary, but follow your own opinion after reading.

Note that there are many sources for DE, one of which is in the middle of Nevada.

Food grade DE is not to hard to get or order from Feed Stores. We have 50 lb bags stored (it will not outdate) mainly to treat storage grains.  It is a very good wormer especially when used with herbal vermicides.  The DE attacks the protective “slime” on parasites rendering them more venerable.
