Thanks Ken. Thanks Glenda.
Sorry I was not able to participate. I managed to un-program my radio and could not get it ready in time for the meeting, though I was listening.
My response would have been, more or less:
Pretty much what everyone else said: books, games, puzzles, and other paper and hardware based diversions, are part of my preps. I have a couple of other physical activities that can keep me occupied for a while, such as juggling and dancing. And given the writing materials, I can make lists. Lots of lists. I also have a few projects I can do that will keep me occupied in a good way, and also accomplish needed tasks.
But I also have quite a few electronics based activities for entertaining myself. With 12 volt rechargeable power supplies, I can keep my shortwave radio, amateur radios, broadcast radio, computer, and Android Smartphone going for long periods of time. Between them I can do listen to music and news, watch TV if there is any being broadcast, discuss the situation with other Amateur radio operators, watch movies, do karaoke, read, write, draw, make more lists, and otherwise entertain myself, often while monitoring whatever is happening that has caused me to not be able to do things normally.
Lots and lots of things to do.
Just my opinion.
