I do have a question for the net. How do you get rid of fox tails? I'm scheduling my second trip to the vet for my dogs. I have to kill these horrible plants or at least plan on paying for my vets next Corvette.
I'm beginning to think it would be better just to buy the Corvette and offer it as payment to remove these fox tails for the life of the dogs.

I did after a next growing season with soil amendments like peat moss and manure.

For foxtails I try to put down roundup as early as I can.
Sometimes I have to burn

We have a different name for foxtails. We call them Vet Bills

So far I'm considering 24D for the broad leaf, then selectively applying a broad spectrum herbicide, but I might just have to bite the bullet and nuke the dog areas. The last vet bill was $1000.00 and I'm really not looking forward to the next one.

As far as pulling them out, there are too many of them. At least a quarter acre spread over a two acre fenced area.
