Title: "Bouillon" cubes, homemade camp food
Post by: TWP on July 20, 2016, 03:20:38 PM
The recipe is for a "camp" food item, and does NOT have a long storage life unless refrigerated and/or frozen.

I think this would be an item that I will keep in the freezer with the intent to throw it into my pack as part of my bug-out plan.  Depending on how many of these you make, you could have a dozen or more "meals" in a very small bag.

Do note the pictures and the comments about salt content.  Salt is a good thing if you are facing the need to hike or travel in heat.  Note also the comment about diluting the broth to reduce the salty taste, if this is a concern. :o
