TWP
Got zombie juice?

TWP
<g>
I know the repeaters were working a half hour ago, but no sound now?
8:06:08 PM
Josh K7ZIM
I can hear on the feed
8:06:27 PM
TWP
I got nothing. Let me restart the feed.
8:06:49 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Just checked, the repeaters are up. Maybe the feed is down.
8:07:29 PM
TWP
Got sound back after a restart of Broadcastify.
Our plans are to stay home (no kids here). We're a third floor apt. so don't expect to see many 'treaters'.
8:11:35 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Living here where I am, have not seen any kids for Halloween since 1997 !
I miss is.
I miss it.
8:12:32 PM
Josh K7ZIM
I usually have to work so we pass out candy to the 3 or 4 that come to the door. Lol
8:12:38 PM
TWP
I'm of the opinion that Halloween has become much more dangerous in today's society.
8:13:28 PM
Ken K7KBJ
It sure has. My sisters and I used to go out all alone when we were of that age in the sixties.
That's the 1960's, not the 1860's, ROB !
hahahahahahahahaha
8:14:01 PM
TWP
We did too. Different attitude today.
8:14:15 PM
KG7MZO - Glenda
hahahahahaha!!!
8:15:12 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Lol
8:16:23 PM
TWP
Re what Jerry is saying. I'm not sure I would trust "homemade" treats. It was ok when I was young(er) but not today.
8:17:33 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Even when i was younger in the 80s we didnt trust homemade treats.
8:18:15 PM
TWP
It was the 50's-60's for me and I ate it all...
Paid the price in tommy aches...
8:18:39 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Lol!
8:18:40 PM
TWP
Tummy
8:19:26 PM
Ken K7KBJ
OMG !!!! Listening to all of Glenda's tips right now......
I don't know how we survived.
8:20:10 PM
TWP
We were immortal children. I remember that much.
8:20:22 PM
Ken K7KBJ
But, I sure remember hearing about kids getting hurt every single year when I was a kid.
We were lucky
8:21:09 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Less vehicles back in the day. I remeber almost no cars on the roads.
8:21:16 PM
Ken K7KBJ
I'd fall on the pirate kid's knives and just get back up, pull it out, and keep on runnin'
Right !!!!
Never a car on those dark city streets we prowled
8:22:13 PM
TWP
We lived in an isolated cul-de-sac and only went to neighbors that we knew, and who knew us.
8:23:03 PM
Josh K7ZIM
I grew up in battle mtn, so parents just kicked us out to gather camdy for them alone. Lol!
8:23:55 PM
TWP
Battle Mtn. major metro area.. NOT
8:24:02 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Flashlights????
Hell, we couldn't afford the batteries, let alone have a flashlight!
hahahahahaha
8:24:33 PM
TWP
Who used flashlights? Not me.
8:24:51 PM
Ken K7KBJ
I think I had a torch once.
8:25:29 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Right. Huge city! I used flashlights as lightsabers. Lol
8:25:45 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Usually, we just fell every other house. That's why we always had pillow cases to carry our bounty, so we could keep it closed during the fall.
If we came home unbrused, we weren't doing it right.
8:27:02 PM
TWP
<g> We tried to eat as fast as we got treats... (hence the tummy ache)
8:27:05 PM
Ken K7KBJ
BUT, our candy was always safe and sound !
8:28:23 PM
TWP
Yeah, I don't remember ever getting bad candy. Some of them I wasn't real willing to eat, but that didn't stop us.
8:29:02 PM
Ken K7KBJ
I remember selling the crappy candy to stupid kids at school the days after.
We did some barter trades as well
8:29:41 PM
TWP
Ah, merchandise was always good.
Breath mints, yucch!
8:30:57 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Glenda says, "Vandalism", I say "Halloween fun!!!!"
I got a fruitcake once. I think it went through a window !
8:31:36 PM
TWP
TP on trees! Yes1
I still have pumpkin from last year, pureed and frozen. Recovered from used jacko-lanterns
8:35:48 PM
Ken K7KBJ
very few pumpkins survived my cherry bombs in my neighborhood
8:36:48 PM
TWP
Cherry bombs, yes, Halloween safety....
I've been here in Reno for years and don't remember seeing many kids out on Halloween, ever.
Did anybody see the name change? It is now "Black and Orange Day", not a joke. Some school decided to be PC...
8:41:21 PM
Ken K7KBJ
Thanks Glenda, good job.
Good night all.
8:41:30 PM
Josh K7ZIM
Thats not any better!
8:41:41 PM
TWP

8:42:02 PM

8:42:06 PM
KG7MZO - Glenda

8:42:25 PM
