Thanks Ken.

Just to reiterate a couple of the things I talked about during the meeting:

1. Practice both low profile camping, where you do your best to remain hidden from casual or even coordinated efforts to find you; as well as camping to make yourself visible for rescue attempts, or to make sure you are seen before someone can encroach on your place, or to make it easy for someone to find you to join you on your camping trip.

2. When I am trying to avoid confrontations while hiking and camping, I will usually stop on the trail at a good place to get water and have a fire, if possible, and have my evening meal, refill my water containers, and relax for a few minutes. Then I move on to a secure overnighting spot, away from water, out of sight of the trail, and with natural security features, if possible. I set up camp in the last light (or use a red, green, or blue light headlamp if dark), set my perimeter alarms, and turn in, without a fire that might be seen or smelled.

If anyone has any questions about the other things I mentioned, feel free to ask.

Just my opinion.
