I dug a moat around the house and took on quite a bit of water under the house. still taking on a little bit of water under the house

Since a week ago last Tuesday my rain barrel went from empty to 10" as of this afternoon. HUGE...

Just a point, the hard freeze which preceded the heavy rain is what cause our minor roof leak. I suspect that ice broke the seals around one of the pipe or flues on our roof.
We are NOT prepped to handle the roof problem, but if you own your home, what preps do you have?

I keep lots of black silicone adhesive for leaks.
Wind damage..... not much of an issue for me.
I don't have much out there that is affected by wind
I'll have more to worry about as I build out my HF antenna systems
