Post by: TWP on March 21, 2017, 06:18:58 PM
This is a multi-part article and I will update this post as all parts are available;

My thoughts on this are that the sheet plastic will not be available in a PAW.  That factor along makes me want to use wood chip mulch.  Conversely, making wood chips requires a device, usually driven by a fuel, which also will not be readily available in a PAW...

The alternative is to mulch with other vegetable matter, such as grasses, leaves, corn stalks, small tree and bush branches and other small plant pieces.  These can be gathered by hand labor.

DO NOTE the very deep mulches being discussed, up to 12 inches or more.  That is a lot of vegetable matter to gather...

Both of the mulching methods work.  Which one you can use will depend on what is available in the future.
