I finally got to the new radios I bought at the last Prepper Con and one of them isn't transmitting well. Ken said it was barely audible. I may have to ship back to factory and let them sort it out.

And we've actually used out preps, forest fire evac from the apartments and actual fire in adjacent units. We spent the night elsewhere.

RE the power issue, a surge controller from the wall may helpt
For Greg; running direct from the battery bank is the preferable solution. Put a voltage controller on the input line, before the battery charger.

Ken, thanks for the work you do, not just on the net but for the group as whole.

Last nights session was very good with lots of participation.  Sorry you had to stand in the deep end.

Two thoughts:

1)  It was hard to follow the conversation with so many questions "on the table" at the same time.  Perhaps limit it to one question at a time and confirm that all who want to reply have done so, before moving to the next question?

2)  Remind everyone in the Chat room that there is a 45 second delay on the Broadcastify audio feed.

Also a suggestion for the format.

How about doing the check in as before, and then, on the first round have everyone that has a question (or more) state the question(s), and then on the second round, have everyone with an answer to any of the questions give their answers for each question, and then do another round for those (like me) who come up with additional questions or answers?

Much of the problem, I believe, is trying to go back and forth between the participants, rather than going back to Net Control each time. If you ask the person who raised the question if the answer was helpful, and if they wanted more information, bring the one that had given the answer back and clarify.

If I am not being clear, text, e-mail, or call me and I will try to explain more clearly.

Just my opinion.
