Title: Canning Butter For Storage
Post by: TWP on February 06, 2017, 12:44:29 PM
This article gives very specific instructions, with good pictures, of exactly how to preserver REAL butter by canning in glass jars.

The article mentions doing this with Margarine, but does not give specific instructions.  It might be cheaper than Butter, but lack much of the flavor and probably also lack some nutritional value.

commercially canned butter will last 1 to 6 years depending on storage conditions but 3 years is most common. Home canned should last that long too I would think.
