YMMV of course, but this site contains LOTS of information by people who are actually living in tiny houses.  Some are portable, some are fixed location.

The site is NOT limited to only houses, it also addresses a mobile lifestyle using motorcycles, bikes and just hiking.  Lots of good suggestions here.

And, Yes, it is very applicable to preppers and the prepping lifestyle... You might find yourself involuntarily mobile and in need of shelter...  Ask some of our members about this.
