Title: Cob Oven Construction
Post by: TWP on November 01, 2016, 10:25:12 AM
I like to bake bread and other things.  If you do too, then read and save this information.

These two links show how to make your own cob oven ("brick oven").

The instructions are simple, but the process will take several days (up to two weeks) if done right.

Keep this in mind if we get into a situation where we have no electric power, propane etc.

The main website has a wealth of information on "mud" construction practices and they offer classes (in Kentucky...).

Flat Fire Brick (or be willing to have a little dirt on your bread)
