Title: Amazon ‘Key’ Service Lets Delivery Drivers Enter Your Home When You’re Not Ther
Post by: TWP on October 25, 2017, 12:56:07 PM
I hope this bothers you as much as it does me... >:(

Amazon(r) WILL begin this "service" next month (November 2017).

This was announced some time ago and I've not commented on it before, hoping that it would generate a large amount of public outcry and negative response...  :-\   It did not.

I'll not be using this "service" (see the other meanings of the work "service) for any deliveries to my home.

Read the article to learn how it is planned to work.  Users will need to install some hardware AND have a working internet connection, accessible from your front door.

Sure, I'll let a total stranger enter my home when I'm not there.  Sure, Amazon(r) employs only trustworthy people and runs a background check on all of them (and on you)...  Sure.

Can you say OPSEC failure?  Sure you can...
