Have belt I love that mysteriously has shrunk over the years.

Anyone have ability and interest in working on it for barter of some kind?

Thanks!

RE belt shrinkage:
the "cure" is to begin a serious program of short walks, followed by short hikes, then adding a backpack, increasing the backpack weight, then progressing to, for instance, overnight hikes to a Lake Tahoe bugout location etc.,  Somewhere during this time, the belt will give up and relax to it's original length and your problem will be solved.

Of course, you could also go to the local Tandy leather store (I think they are still in Reno) and buy an oval leather punch.  I think these are available online also, but I haven't searched.  They are a good tool to have in the prepper tool chest.

Thanks for your cure. I have decided to start implementing your cure, however, in the meantime Todd has agreed to barter with me on a short term fix lengthening the belt.

I wish I could 'thumbs up' your post, TWP. I think I should try that cure too, for all my jeans that have mysteriously shrunk over the holidays. ;)

Perhaps Todd would consider giving a demo of his technique at a future meeting or campout?
That sounds like good skill to have, just in case...
