Title: Article - Designing and placing your cache(s)
Post by: TWP on May 30, 2017, 11:39:20 AM
We've all read articles about making caches to store prepper gear.

This article goes into some detail about design considerations and locations which make discovery much less likely.

Some caches may be very simple, easy to recover and quick to create.

Other caches are more complex, better hidden and will take longer to recover in time of need.

DO NOTE the emphasis on security and the need to keep your caches (and the process of making them) a secret.  I like the extra room build next to the septic tank.  You're going to be digging a big hole anyway, so just make it big enough to server two purposes...

I also like the design feature of having a few "give away" items which can be more easily found and at the same time, will divert attention from your more valuable and extensive caches.

Yes, it requires a degree of paranoia to do this correctly.  I encourage this kind of paranoid thinking... it could keep you alive.
