Title: Acorn Coffee how-to
Post by: TWP on September 16, 2015, 01:01:31 PM
This is a short and too-the-point article on processing acorns for coffee.

We have acorns here in the area and they are free for the taking...  Check the parks and many sidewalk areas around town.

Please DO note the boiling process.  It does remove some of the tannin which makes for a less bitter flavor.  If you want to boil the nut-meat after hulling, it will remove even more of the tannin, but result in a lack of flavor in the acorn coffee.
