I found this review of a current TV serial called "Alone"...
http://survivalblog.com/bugging-out-alone-by-professor-prepper/Based on the authors reporting of events in this staged-made-for-TV series, I think I will skip it.
For example, one of the 'players' drops out because he lost his ferro-cerium fire starter... While I admit it would be difficult to make a fire with wet wood (it is reported that it rains a lot on the Vancouver Island film site), I do think it would be possible to make fire in several different ways...
I once road my bicycle across Vancouver Island, in the summer, and it rained once, as I was crossing the top of the pass. Otherwise it was a nice ride through lovely countryside with frequent stops at stores and parks along the way. I certainly did not fit the description given in this article...
Worth reading this review, even if you decide, like me, that the show is not worth watching.
