"Maker" projects

Some or most of you may already be aware of the "Maker" community.

This link shows many projects, some of which are prepper related and some may be modified to be prepper related.

I've often found myself "lusting" after a real 3D printer, bu the cost is off-putting.  The uses for this type of tool include making parts which may no longer be available in a SHTF situation.

For instance:

Cloths Pins
Gun mounts
Simple telescopes and binoculars
Cups and jugs

The real trick will be finding a source for the raw feed materials to use in a 3D printer.

I do see a possible source in trash, assuming that the municipal garbage dumps are not buried underground.
