Snow Shelter, Igloo vs "Quinzee"
« on: January 20, 2017, 11:57:17 AM »
I've built the "Quinzee" but not an igloo.

Do note the special tool used to assemble snow blocks.  You might not have it available...

The pictures are very good, so look closely.

A "Quinzee" or snow cave is much more do-able (IMO) and probably quicker.  A snow shovel or a snow shoe is almost a necessity...  You "could" do this with just your hands, but it would be colder and take more effort.

I hope to have a chance to practice with The Ice Box tool making an igloo at our winter campout.

Just my opinion.
