Here is an article (a very long one with many details) that gives my thoughts on self-reliance and self-sufficiency. Their similarities and their differences as I see them.
Also included are my thoughts on what is required to achieve up to 95% self-sufficiency.
There are sections that have my thoughts on a prepper homestead or estate that lends itself to high levels of self-sufficiency. Included are construction ideas that help up the self-reliance and self-sufficiency for defending the place. And lastly, two really long lists of specifics for the estate/homestead, and the owner's house/mansion.
This is all geared toward being the core resource for a community, especially after a major event creates a massive die-off and the destruction of most of, if not all of, our modern infrastructure that makes current lifestyles possible.
It is not stated in the lists, but some of the very high-value transportation options are actually intended to allow international travel in order to procure certain items that simply are not available in the US, or are in minute quantities. My designs, while costly, are costly for features and capabilities, not gold plated faucets, marble floors, and fancy for fancy's sake.
Let me know what you think.
(Going to be interesting to see how many people actually look at it.)
I hope to catch up on several of the other articles and get them posted that I have been saying I would put up here. Soon, I hope.
Everything is just my opinion.
