Some basic instructions on preserving Milk, Cheese and Butter.

DO NOTE that cheese and powdered milk are  the only ones of the three which has true Long Term Storage lifetimes.

Cheese preservation is via waxing, using was specifically made for cheese.

Milk and Butter can be frozen for slightly longer storage life, but still limited to about 6 months.

The better method with milk is to buy "powdered" milk, which, if properly sealed, will last for years.
