Title: difficult tire fix

My neighbor had trouble changing out a tire. He got it changed but could not get it re seated even with a large compressor. Homemade soap to the rescue. I used my homemade soap grated it up then added water to turn it into a thick paste that is very similar to what tire shops use for seating difficult tires.

Good video, except the audio was so low, plus the wind whistling, I could not hear any of the explanation.


Was that propane you put in the tire, or just a propane canister used as a compressed air tank?

Yes that is propane that little trick has saved me many times out here my neighbor is going to change it out when he gets home. Sorry about the wind and audio the wind has ruined more good vids for me than anything I think its time to invest in a better camera with some sort of noise control.

At first I thought you might be adding a bit to the tire with the intention of lighting it off to puff the tire out and help start the seal.


I have seen people do that with ether before. A very dangerous process and not all that effective, either.


Lots of different tricks of the trade out there. That was a good one.
