Impressive! Considering the weather and circumstances you have managed to produce quite a bit, learn a great deal, and improved everything as you go.

I have a place now where I can do a small, very small, garden. At the moment, however, I am only in the planning stage. I will need to build some keyhole raised beds in order to be able to have decent growing medium, but also so I can physically tend the garden. I can no long get down and get back up, so ground level items, other than just enough to possibly get some maize planted. And if I can get the seeds for Hopi blue corn, I can even grow it in raised beds as it does not get very tall.

You are quite the inspiration for me, beorn.

Thank you.

Just my opinion.

Well done, beorn! You do have a pretty green thumb.

I do have a couple of questions. You have probably answered them in previous videos, but I do not remember for sure.

1) What is the liner material in the raised beds?
2) Are some or all of your strawberries everbearing?
3) Have you grown any head lettuce, such as iceberg?

Thank you!

That black matting is a weed barrier or synthetic mulch it can be very handy for a quick start to growing. I think the strawberries are all everbearing I had to read about what everbearing really was but I think what was purchased was suited to this area which sounds like everbearing and they keep fruiting all through the season. The only lettuce I have done is the leaf lettuce because its not for sale and its better to have a constant supply rather than a one time to market crop.

Okay. Thanks for the information. I first thought the material might be pond liner but it occurred to me that pond liner really would not be a good choice for that, so I decided to ask. Thank you for putting me straight.

Good luck with the rest of it.

Summer update on the greenhouse I talk about natural predators for pest control and new automatic vent system that will shortly be installed.
