Zucchini grow faster than apples, but don't store as well.  You will need sugar and spices for this.

If you HAVE some apples, but just not enough for a whole pie, add zucchini as a filler.

I am not seeing good reviews on this recipe.
Another good reason not to grow Zucchini and risk my pepto winter squash seed lines.

    I still think it beats the recipe which uses Ritz(r) crackers in place of apples...  Not to mention the sodium overload
