How to get started making your own sausage.

I find the biggest block in getting started is the recommendation for a meat grinder.   Yes, it makes it far easier, but you can cut your meats and fats using a knife and cutting board.  It will just take longer.

Now, pre-SHTF, you can find all of the necessary ingredients and tools in local stores and groceries.  Prices are even somewhat reasonable.

I would recommend that you get some recipes for making the "salt" mixture used for almost all recipes.  It is NOT simple Sodium Chloride - table salt...  Plan on needing to make your own "salt" mix and using intestines for wrapping and curing.
