Good article, with detailed instructions and good pictures.
This is not hard to do and cans are readily available (right now). The cans can be cared for and will last a long time if not allowed to rust.

The recipes are simple and some of them are suitable for use with prepper food stocks. Remember that yeast can be harvested from many plant leaves. This is important in a post-event world. You can also maintain your own sourdough starter which potentially can out-live you.
