The claim is that eating just "properly made" pemmican does not result in vitamin deficiency diseases, such a Scurvy.
Personally, I'd eat something
in addition to the pemmican, if it were available. For the short term, which could be months in length, Pemmican does offer a good (excellent) food source. It is also a light weight and compressed ( low volume ) food stock.
I would try to add something with fiber to this diet, to satisfy the human digestive system.
