YMMV vary on any given situation.  The author offers a hypothetical situation after an EMP.  It will fit some people.  Read for what matches your situation and plan on facing some of the same scenarios.

All of this is predicated on having done some extensive pre-planning (it's the prepper thing to do...).  Without that planning, and some practice, you must make up your game plan as you go.  That last option is risky, to say the least.
