The small wild variety grow wild here and, although small, are quite tasty. the larger domesticated ones are best started like their tomato relatives and produce a lot more fruit and are sweeter.

The fruit must be dead ripe though to be eaten. but this is easy as the whole cherry and husk simply fall off the plant.
