Man, bring back memories for me, as well.
We had a Jersey that produced a huge amount of cream. And a Holstein that produced lots of milk, with only moderate amounts of cream. We did use some of the cream directly, but we had lots of cream to churn into butter. As my two older sisters and older brother had work to do that I could not, and my two younger brothers were too young to do it, guess who turned the crank on the one gallon, wooden paddle butter churn. Yep. Me. Had to be at least a million cranks over those years. But man that was good butter! We had three different butter presses to form it into one pound round blocks with a fancy design on top.
Just my opinion.
